Be Careful - Many of the sites out there are selling Xbox 360 Repair Guides that are of very low quality.

Some of them actually sell information that could damage your Xbox 360. We've tested dozens of these sites - and repair guides, and have actually repaired many Xbox 360's using them. Out of the dozens of sites we've tested, these are our favorite 2:

XBOX360RedLightFix.com

This was our top pick. The directions were easy and precise, and the videos really helped. We used this one to repair an Xbox 360 in less than an hour. The few of us that didn't trade probably decided that it's more beneficial to keep it, as some of the games were not backwards compatible. Now that the majority of the games have become backwards compatible, what oh what do we do with our Xbox?

The answer, you mod it. Use the system as your virtual console, only not pay for that nostalgic feeling we get every time we see Super Mario 3. I am going to provide both a walk through and a download with all the emulators in them for the Xbox. I am sure roms wont be a problem, but remember only download them if you already "own" the game.

I would like to mention that I am using Avalaunch as my custom firmware and that anything mentioned here has been done on it.
The easiest way to transfer is using a router and a program called flashfxp. Click here to download. Connect the Xbox to your router using an Ethernet cable. Now click the little button that looks like a thunder bolt. (click on screen above for close up)

Next, select quick connect, and you will be prompted to a screen where you have to enter the URL of where the Xbox is connected. Most of the time, you can find this when you go to the network section of your custom Xbox, but in case you don't, here is something that might help.

The address is usually 192.168.2.1?. The ? = the port number your Xbox is connected to on your router. Example, if the Xbox is connected to port 2, than the address will be 192.168.2.12, and if it is connected to port 4, the address will be 192.168.2.14. DO NOT change the port number on the program, leave it at 21 as default. For the user name type in "xbox" and for the password type in "xbox" Next, click connect. (click on screen below for close up)

They will show up on different folders. Browse through them and find the one folder than contains the folder labeled "games". This is where your going to put your emulators. ( I am aware that there are different custom firmwares for the Xbox, this is the case on the one I am using though)

Next, simply put the emulators in that folder and restart your Xbox. Most of the emulators will allow you to browse through your folders, so just create a folder called roms for your individual emulators and put your roms there. Everytime you install a new rom, you have to restart your Xbox I find.

Now, where are there emulators? Right here, I have graciously provided you with all the ones you want, including the PC emulator Dosxbox, the NES, FCC, Sega Master System, Gameboy Advance and many more. Have fun. Click here for the emulators.

Bourne Conspiracy Review

Being a fan of the Robert Ludlums Bourne series, I was very interested to see a Bourne game out. Now, movie games are usually not very good. Actually, there are few examples of good movie games and Bourne Conspiracy is no exception.

The game starts a few days before where the first movie begins. Here you are creeping around the docks trying to get to the boat where your target is. To get there, your going to have to battle a few nameless henchmen, and well, that's about it.

Controlling Bourne is not always the easiest task. He is a big guy and there are narrow passage ways. Combined, you get one headache after another when your trying to run and you keep running into walls. Even the slightest clip on a wall will have you running in one spot like a 1980's treadmill. Taking cover behind walls is not always very effective, nor is it an easy task. The game using the unreal 3 engine, tries to give us a very Gears of War cover system, only not as effective. Think of it as how TMNT used Ubisofts Prince Of Persia engine.

The shooting in the game is also clunky and hard to master. Again, using the unreal 3engine, the game uses the pop out, over the shoulder technique. And like the cover system, it fails. Getting a headshot is more difficult than getting Gary Busey to make sense when talking about anything. Now on to maybe the games only saving grace, the fighting.

The fighting system is very basic and repetitive. You combine strong and weak attacks to create combos. At first, it's a lot of fun, but after doing it 30 times, you just wanna turn the game off. The animations are very predictable, so blocking is very simple, and all the enemies do the same moves. Hell, this game even has one of my major pet peeves in games, repetitive character models. You beat generic guy with wrench about 15 times in one mission.

There are moments in the game that had me saying "F#@#ing Awesome". Those were the moments where you build enough adrenaline, gained by defeating enemies to trigger take down sequences. These are instant kills on enemies where you smash their head into a wall or break their fingers. These are very useful on bosses, which like the fighting, just falls short of cool.

Overall, if your a fan of the Bourne series than I would recommend you RENT the game. It follows the story line and throws in alot of filler. Other than that, I would not recommend it to anyone else. The repetitive gameplay and lack of depth keep this from living up to the coolness that is Jason Bourne.

Can You Get Paid To Play Video Games?

Unfortunately, this appears to be nothing but a dream for many people - when in fact, this is actually a reality. To this day, there are many people that play and test video games, and actually get paid! This is something I should have done a long time ago. I hooked up both my Xbox 360 and my PS3 and I tell you folks, F***ing amazing! The difference is truly night and day. I would really hope you guys and gals reading this get to experience high def gaming.

Now, there are ways to make your gaming experience a bit better by upping the resolution on your T.V. First of all, I recommend you stay away from any RF adapter as that severely reduces quality. In the past, I got around not having an AV connection on my T.V. by going through a VCR with AV inputs.

Secondly, you could purchase a VGA cable for your system, assuming your monitor is separate from your VGA cable. This will allow you to connect your system to your monitor. Also sometimes, its cheaper to buy a LCD monitor than it is to buy a LCD T.V. Be sure to go into your systems settings and configure to the right resolution.

Now, most monitors don't have built in speakers, or if they do, they suck. Well, a good way around this is to buy an adapter that has 2 RCA female ends and one 2mm stereo input. Plug the end into the input of your computer sound card or speakers and there you go, audio.

If your monitor does not have a separated VGA cable input, you could always purchase a T.V. tuner card. They are available through both your computers PCI slot or USB 2.0. Using this method, you might not see a significant enough difference to justify the purchase. After all, your just shooting a AV signal through another medium. Now I have heard of T.V. tuner cards that have either an HDMI input or a component input. I have not seen either of these in action so I cannot comment.

Ok, now there is one more thing I would like to mention you could do. Invest in the S video cables as most T.V.'s have this slot. You should be able to pull off 480p in these settings. One thing I would like to suggest is to purchase a Xbox high def player - If you could find one though, as they are no longer in production. The high def player hooks up to your computer assuming you find the correct drivers.

Hope these tips help you and your gaming needs. Be on the lookout for good deals on monitors or high def T.V.'s.

How To Burn Xbox 360 Games

In the past, I have never been a fan of burning games or getting my system modded. The idea of opening up my system and have something installed on the motherboard always scared the crap out of me.

Recently, I have had to cut back on my gaming budget and a good friend suggested soft modding my Xbox 360. At first, I was against the idea, but he explained all that's done is changing the firmware of the DVD Rom.

He also explained that it can be changed back to it's original state if I ever needed to return it. So, I went with it, and sure enough, it works great. I can even go online. Now, how do I get games? Bit torrents of course. Well, here is my tried and tested guide to burning Xbox 360 games.

What You Will Need:
Xbox 360 with modded firmware.
A DVD 9 blank disc.
A program called IMGBURN
A dual layer DVD writer
About 20 gigs of space

Download IMGBURN here

First off, choose the game you wish to download through your favorite torrent site. Than after you choose, download the game. The file you are downloading should have 40 to 50 .zip files - about 100 MB each. There will also be other files. After your download is complete, unzip and you should have a folder with an image file and .dvd file. Now open IMGBURN.

In IMGBURN, you will come to a main screen where it will tell you it found your burner. Here, select tools>settings. Then, click the write tab, and under options select "user specified". In the box write "1913760". This is the brick layer that is Xbox specific. Use the picture as a reference.

From here, click ok and you will come back to the main screen. Select "write Image file to disc". Select the .dvd file from the folder that contains the game iso. If there is no .dvd file, just select the image. From here, set the write speed to a maximum of "2.4x". Now comes the waiting process. After it's done, I recommend you play your copied games offline. Enjoy!

Wii Sports Resort Video Review

Click Here To Order Your Copy Of Wii Sports Resort Now

Wii Sports Resort

This is a great game to play with family and friends. Gather around as you take part in sword battles, bowling, and more.

There are twelve different sports in Wii Sports Resort:

• Swordplay
• Wakeboarding
• Archery
• Frisbee
• Basketball
• Power Cruising
• Cycling
• Golf
• Table Tennis
• Bowling
• Canoeing
• Air Sports

Personally, I find this game really fun. Each sport is fun in it's own right, but I find that, personally, I keep going back to Swordplay, Table Tennis, and one that really surprised me, Basketball.

I have never been a fan of basketball games, but let me tell you, if there is a basketball game that plays anything like the one in Wii Sports Resort, then I'm in.

There's just a lot of variety in this title. As mentioned above, there are twelve sports to choose from. Single player is fun in it's own right, but have others join you, and it's a whole new ball game.

Do I recommend this game? Absolutely!

Click Here To Order Your Copy Now
